As an organization, we continuously work to address the root causes of poverty and create systemic change by providing basic and emergency resources, education and specific health programs such as free dental and prenatal care, food, clothing and financial assistance, hot lunches five days a week at Neighborhood House in Downtown Charleston, and diverse educational opportunities like our afterschool and summer camp programs, money management, GED and ESL classes. We focus on the whole person and their families wherever possible, and where we can’t, we coordinate with broader community organizations to collaborate.
